Inspired: Marc by Marc Jacobs vs. the 80's.
It's no secret that Mr. Jacobs is the master mind behind making my elementary school wardrobe for big people. Complete with rainbows and unicorns, piano key's, puff sleeved blouses and all the darling little rompers mom used to dress you in. Yes, being a child of the 80's, it seems that every collection, has at least a piece (or two or three) that brings back memories from the playground and waiting in line for hot lunch. And I would be lying if I said I hated it. Granted I was too young to be rocking over the knee zipper boots back in the day, Mr. Jacobs has re-introduced this trashy-in-an-awesome-way boot. Now that I am "old enough" to parade around like a bad-ass in these boots, I am unfortunately too poor. At $800 a pair, I can only hope to come across the original vintage version in my size for a fraction of the price.

Where'd you find the picture of the vintage Anne Klein boots?! I was looking for a picture of them a while ago. I met this great woman last year who'd done major designer shopping in the '80s and kept everything, and was wearing the boots! They were stopping traffic; it was awesome.
hello,
if anyone needs to purchace a pair of the original fruity colored version of these boots, we currently have a pair at marmalde...they are size 8.5
I just bought a pair at a second hand store for $15 that are very similar as well--suede turquoise, cranberry and dark blue separated by zippers. They are hot. The brand is VanEli (Italy). I had not seen the MJ version--I like mine better!! Ha.
