Just Did It! Fleamarket Finds!

Oh, I have been very, very bad the last couple of weekends. Over a year ago I pretty much stopped going to flea markets and garage sales. It was all part of my "I have to much stuff and need to focus on the merchandise at hand" plan. My theory with the fleas and the sales is that although my focus is clothes it became too easy to buy other things: knick-knacks, smalls, chotchkes, things I don't need! Before I knew it I was over-stocked with cute 70's mugs and more velvet paintings than I would like to admit...it had to stop. So for the most part, I quit. And it really helped. My mentality with a Thrift store is I can go in, and go straight to the shoes, hit the clothing and be out. No nickle mugs calling my name or louie-esque gold plastic frames, begging me to take them home and add them to the already more-than-any-one-needs collection. But with the amazing weather as of late, one flea market won't hurt, right? As long as I say "no" to day-glow chalk ware banks and big eyed kiddie pictures, right? right. So the past two Sundays I have hit up my local flea market and damn the pickin's where good. Perhaps with a more focused mind-set I can start to, slowly introduce this ritual back into my life, maybe.


holy mother of nike! this really is a rarity, not that these designs are neccessarily rare but coming across a bunch almost never happens. It was one of those moments where I needed to keep it cool for fear that any sign of excitement would cause the 50 cents each price to skyrocket to a million dollars!! Granted, it never would have happened in this situation, dude was just happy to get rid of his old gym gear...and I was happy to help!

These were really the reason I came back to the flea this past weekend. You see for some reason I passed them up the prior weekend, part of trying to focus? Maybe an out of body experience? Crazy, I know. The cute thing is my friend Michelle bought me a pair as a gift the prior weekend, a great friend that knows me too well! Neither of us could find them yesterday and as I was about to give up, I walked past a booth and on the ground in a box I caught a glimpse of the neon love! Don't think they are old but I am certain that they are beyond good!

And keeping with the theme, an all over smiley face print tee that is so "of the moment" nu-rave that it is actually even more funny than eva!

And a few items worth sharing!! Creepy Ceramic face necklaces, more than sexy ankle boots, i-wish-they-had-more-of-these-animal-print-shopper-you-better-get-over-to-chinatown-or-
you-nearest-little-mexico-and-cop-yours-NOW-tote, and some super hot belts. I am thinking
the black and white one might go with the New Balance, muscle pants fit, but we'll see!
