Hollywood Ranch Market: SF Edition, Season 1.
And yet another side hustle! Last year I started a project with Japan's famed, Hollywood Ranch Market store. They carry a mix of new, vintage and recycled re-make clothing. The shop is as beautiful as their goods and I am happy to be apart of their merchandise line. Together we have created a line of recycled t-shirts and zipper hoodies. The garments are over-dyed black and I work with the buyer to select graphics from my personal vintage t-shirt collection to re-create and print onto the t-shirts and hoodies. We print right over any existing graphics, any minor holes or stains...the idea is to have these minor character flaws of the garment as a reminder to the wearer that they are wearing a recycled item, a garment that has been given a second chance. The graphics we select are themed around major U.S. cities. Hollywood Ranch Market carries the line within there store as well as shops the line at multiple trade shows through-out the year to sell to other stores in Japan. The first season focused on San Francisco and currently in the works is New York. The line is called Liz B. By The Goods!, they insisted on the "Liz B". part, which always makes me giggle...my name on a shirt?!?! Here's a look at the first season from last year...

It has been about 7 years since I have been to the store and I hope to get back someday to see The Goods! on the racks! They also have another store called Blue Blue which specializes in traditional indigo dyed goods, so amazing and beautiful! If you are ever in the Daikanyama district in Tokyo, please visit and make sure to eat at their cafe Bombay Bazar, located below Blue Blue...make sure to get the Blueberry Drink, it is the tastiest!!
